Specialised transport

We carry out all types of transport. Our area of operation extends throughout Finland and across the national border. We transport high, low, wide and far, and are happy to take on what seems impossible.

The service workshop

Thodén's service workshop is located at Haralandvägen 21 in Kokkola. In addition to servicing and repairing both our own and external customers' cars, we carry out add-on constructions and assembly of new vehicles.

Pilot Cars

Our fleet of Pilot cars ensures safe roads for our own and other haulage companies' specialised transports, even VTL in Sweden. Experienced drivers ensure that the guidelines for specialised freight are maintained.

Vehicle fleet

Our growing fleet of vehicles includes several crane trucks, heavy haulers, hooklifts, three-axle tractors, etc. The fleet also includes our escort vehicles, several wheel loaders and a variety of trailers.

Historia

The history

Gustav and Kerstin Thodén's haulage business began in 1984 with a Volvo N86 gravel truck from 1970. The car was soon replaced by a Volvo F89, but the old gravel truck is still on the farm.

Sons Richard, Sebastian and Frans became involved in the company early on, and their passion for both the industry and the cars shines through in the uniformly painted cars that characterise Thodén's vehicles.

We transport everything that is high, wide, long and difficult and always work out solutions when none seem to be available. Our barges have carried everything from barns, wind power components, pipe bridges, animal feed, luxury yachts and much more.

Our strength lies in the family and the fact that we all help each other: "All together" is a motto that has followed us since the beginning, and also a big reason for the success of our 40-year-old business.
